Author’s Note: This is my first attempt to write one of these stories from a guy’s perspective. I’ve been doing more of it recently in my mainstream writing with varying results. I thought it might be fun to try to write something more erotic. It was an entertaining process, but it was a struggle to keep the point of view correct in my head (and no, it wasn’t because I was writing this story with the experience of having done something like this for one of my boyfriends’ roommates).

All in all, I was fairly pleased with the result of this story and may try writing another one at some point. Whether this one turned out well or not–I’ll leave that to you, the readers, to decide.

“Hey Rogers! Think fast!”

A football streaked down the dorm hallway toward Alan like it was fired out of a cannon. He had no time to react as he rounded the corner from the elevators. He barely managed to get his hands up but couldn’t get them in front of the ball. It slammed into his stomach, knocking the air out of him and made his eyes water. “Thanks,” Alan said. He could hardly speak. He handed the ball off to the stocky boy while trying to keep his body upright and resist the urge to collapse to his knees. He shuffled past and continued to his door. The ball sailed behind him as he opened it and went in. As soon as the door shut behind him, he dropped to the floor, clutching his abdomen. He wiped his eyes with his hands and took off his backpack and tossed it onto his desk. As he went to the mini fridge to get a bottle of water, his phone buzzed with a text.

There was a 6-inch tear along the bottom half of the sheet. Alan lifted the end of the mattress and saw the culprit–the sheet had gotten snagged on one of the exposed bed springs under the mattress.

Alan balled up the sheet, pressed it against his face, and screamed into it. After he let it out, he wrapped the sheet around his head and fell onto the bed face first, not bothering to take off his shoes. He’d get up in a minute or so, eat his pizza, and then go downstairs. He’d take his laptop with him. Might as well try to get some homework done.

The football game was still going in the hallway.
